River gravel (which can also be known as pea gravel and pea shingle) from the banks of the River Swale is a naturally rounded stone in shape with no sharp edges with a very natural pallet of colours ranging from grey to brown with occasional hints of yellow.  The subtle variations of colour make this gravel perfect for any project as it brings brightness to any space.

A versatile product that can be used in construction such as pipe bedding, manufacturing, and specialist concrete.

River gravel is very compact which makes it perfect for decorative driveways and footpaths, landscaping your garden and general ground cover.

River gravel 10mm generally suits smaller areas whilst river gravel 20mm is better suited to large areas but it’s all personal preference.

Great for use in a bird bath to offer the birds a choice of water levels.

With all naturally quarried products there will always be an element of dust on all materials. The dust can be cleared by simply hosing the materials once laid or letting nature take its course by letting the dust wash away over time with rainfall.
Colour: As all our products are naturally quarried there can be colour variations as well as size variations dependent on the formation of the mineral in the quarry at any given time.
Most of our products have been mechanically screened through meshes of the size specified. However, any screening process can only separate within two dimensions width or length, meaning any screened products may consequently contain particles with one longer dimension than the sizing specified, if it has gone through width ways.
